I’m 36 years old, and I live near Downtown Modesto with my “rockstar-in-every-form-of-the-word” husband, Alex who never shies away at a project or honey-do list. We were married on a very rainy day at McHenry Mansion 10 years ago, just around the corner from where the studio is now! He’s my puzzle piece, and is the fire that keeps Make Studio burning, even though we see very little of him in the shop haha! In 2024 we had our sweet baby boy, Raylan, but he was called straight to heaven after birth. We can’t wait to meet him again some day, and hope he gets an earthside sibling soon. I’ll never get tired of talking about him, or hearing his name :)

Some of my hobbies include: trying new crafts (obviously), thrifting, listening to early 2000’s music, baking, making spreadsheets and lists, decorating for holidays, doing my nails and checking out local eateries, especially in Downtown Modesto. If you couldn’t already tell, I’m a pretty classic millenial. I’m also obsessed with TikTok. And The Killers is the greatest band there EVER was.

My favorite show will probably always be The Office, and I’d drink a vanilla latte just about any day, iced or hot. My favorite food is a burger.

Make Studio is my passion project, and as I always tell people - “crafting is a perk, I’m mostly in it for the people". I opened the studio to spend time with other people, and cultivate more creativity in Modesto. Expertise was NEVER the intention, and no, there isn’t ONE craft that I consider myself to have mastered - I like to do it all. I’ve made projects that I’m really proud of, and projects that even “Nailed It!” would have turned down. I just like to make things and make things with other people
